Hawaii mini with EMS

Rose@...

Aloha

I had joined last week but for some reason didn't get any posts back.  Several people reached out and I now see several responses.   Working on getting my vet out and reviewing the responses.   Where can one send hay or grass to be analyzed?  I have reached out and so far have found nothing in my State.  Also if doing pasture grass, would I send a root ball so it simulates fresh grass or a clipping?

I was also told to let people know in a new thread that I did post Luluka's bloodwork and photos in my case history.  Hope this is the correct protocol to reach out and let people know.  Still a newbie to this forum and slowly trying to navigate around.

Lastly I will have my vet out to do new bloodwork.  Please give guidance on exactly what I need to get done.

Mahalo

Hi Rose,

You have your subscription set to Full Featured Digest so you did get the emails, you would just need to have read the complete contents of each digest to find them.  Most members find it easier to go online (main@ECIR.groups.io | Topics) to read their responses OR select Individual email in their subscription so they can get individual responses.

All answers to your original thread can be found here: main@ECIR.groups.io | Hawaii horse with Equine Metabolic Syndrom and the answer to your questions can be found in your welcome message: Re: Hawaii horse with Equine Metabolic Syndrom (groups.io)

You can contact EquiAnalytical (Analytical Service Packages | Equi-Analyticalas outlined in your welcome message about testing hay or grass.  Just keep in mind that testing grass is simply a reflection of that moment in time as sugars in grass can vary with weather and time of day.
