Insulin test while on Metformin

I am retesting Joker's insulin after starting him on the Metformin to make sure it is helping. I know that I do not give him "grain" supplements the morning of the test. Do I still give him a syringe of his normsl metformin meds the morning of his test. The vet is coming at some point in the afternoon to do the blood draw.

Yes you want to give the medication as normal to see if it's working. You can give him his hard feed in the morning, you just want him to be done eating it at least 4 hours prior to the blood draw. If the vet is coming in the afternoon that shouldn't be an issue. You also want to keep hay in front of him as usual so the test is not fasting.
