Questions about having Gracie's blood drawn

Hi Everyone,
Gracie has been on Metformin for 12 days so I am having her blood drawn on Friday so see if it's helping her. I have two questions. 1. I give Gracie her Metformin with Stabul 1 twice a day. The first time is at 6:00 am. The vet is coming at noon. Is it okay to give it to her that morning? 2. I walk Gracie at 6:30 am each day for 25 to 30 minutes. Hi Angela. Gracie should receive her metformin as usual in the stabul 1 as long as she is done eating it 4 hours before her 12 noon test....if the vet is late thats ok too....Keep hay in front of her until test is drawn so that she is eating hay up until the blood draw. Do the morning walk routine at 630...you want to see a reflection of your current care in the insulin test.
