Kathy, I am so sorry to read this. But I am glad Vanna had you as an owner. You tried to help her and when she needed you to make a decision, you did that for her too. Not to many horses get to have an owner who is willing to help and make that final call. You are an excellent owner. Thank you for trying and thank you for caring about her.

Sorry to hear your sad news, Kathy. You did your best and gave Vanna a chance, and when it didn't work out you recognized that and ended her suffering. I'm sure she is grateful.

Hi Everyone... Unfortunately, I lost the battle trying to help my beautiful Shetland mare Vanna overcome her EMS and laminitis. As most of you know it's like riding a roller coaster with the ups and downs. We finally got to the point where there were no ups and she was miserable. But I do have to say that when all was good, much of it was due to the information I received here. Bless you all!
