Hi Denise,
My advice would be to make certain the farrier takes nothing off the soles. There’s something about trimming the sole that must feel very satisfying as it seems hard to resist. And then contact Lavinia for mark up advice. She will put you on her list after receiving the correct photos along with the radiographs. Boots with pads seems very reasonable to me. -- Martha in Vermont

Thank you in advance to this very helpful group. I just received new radiographs of Dakota's fronts, which are in my photo album (hopefully they are correctly uploaded and labeled). Does anyone have any advice for my farrier, who is coming on Monday? Trim more toe? My vet isn't particularly helpful. She merely said there is no improvement, he's best in his boots, and she wouldn't put shoes on him because we're heading into winter in Wisconsin. I will receive his latest bloodwork next week and our first hay analysis!
