Soya hulls, diarrhea and ??? is it safe for mares
Good day
Jewel has developed a case of cow patty like manure in the last 9 days. Initially there was lots of expulsion of free fecal water during and after her movements for5 or so days but now manure just mushy. Nil changes in diet to precipitate this. I have added RSR beet pulp 1-2 c dry to wet and now have been advised to add soaked soya hulls to increase fiber more and perhaps absorb some of the liquid in the gut.
I am to understand that soya hulls are not to be given to mares due to ??? estrogen issues? Please advise me accordingly.

"Soy hull pellets" are safe, "soy pellets" contain the soybean and are not recommended.
