Hi Julie,

I was just hoping to follow her management in her Case History, in case there were any suggestions to be made for her.

Mobilizing collections means bringing abscesses to a head.

Yes I am checking gums ,
upped her J-herb a bit 3 days ago ..
please explain “ mobilizing some collections “

if it is above 45 she does well but as soon as it drops she moves very slow and lays down a lot
Still has good appetite .

Julie,

Are you checking her gums and tongue to be sure they are more pink? No harm in walking her to see if it helps but that is going to be temporary. It's also possible she may be mobilizing some collections from the J and AAKG.

I have searched for This answer …couldn’t find anything

when a pony is suffering from winter laminitis does walking help ?

pony is in wool socks , boots with soft neoprene pads , fleece leg wraps ,on all four  medium weight blanket .

getting jiagoulin and AAKG , ( just started last week) tested hay ; custom minerals , E, flax . Lives outside with shelter and on  track with others who do not bother her ( she is the boss mare )
track is surfaced with sand , pea gravel and natural dirt . Very little mud . We have colder weather on the way .

but she is moving slowly I can tell her feets hurt .

just leave her alone to meander as she pleases or would walking help with blood flow ?

I realized that I have not updated my history in forever but cookie has been doing well all summer , moving  great unbooted all summer —but the cold weather is bothering her .

thoughts ?
