Where you get answers - ECIR Group Giving Tuesday

Dear ECIR Group

 ~

December marks 22 years of the ECIR Group reaching caregivers to significantly help metabolic horses.

A recent study noted recognition that investigative areas and concerns important to those in the trenches — owners and professionals — have not always been the focus of equine research.  Understanding this critical fact is foundational to the ECIR Group. For over two decades, volunteers and members have bridged the gap between basic research and real-life clinical experience, to immediately improve the welfare of metabolic equines.

The ECIR discussion forum on groups.io has over 9,000 international members; ECIR Facebook has over 35,000 followers; ecirhorse.org provides introduction and background information to folks just learning of a new diagnosis, and clocks an incredible 76,000 new users in the past 12 months. Veterinary- and hoof professional-specific information is available through ecirhorse.org and on IVIS.org.

In short, humans all over the world access information 24/7 to effectively manage the metabolic status of the equines in their care.

Year-end giving, starting today, is a significant fundraising event for the ECIR Group and with each year becomes more important.

We are happy to announce that a generous anonymous supporter will match funds to be pledged directly for research for donations received from today, Giving Tuesday, to the end of the year.  Every $5 you donate will turn into a $10 donation. Every $25 will turn into $50. Every $100 will turn into a $200 donation.

To those of you already donating, we are most grateful. We’re grateful to those of you who make one-time donations, either end-of-year, in honor of a beloved equine, or because you feel moved to help by offering recurring monthly donations. The amount does not matter. Knowing the ECIR Group has your support to continue to fight to prevent metabolic laminitis does.

To make a donation of any size, go to the ECIR Group page on Mighty Cause. By choosing the monthly option, you help to ensure a known income for ongoing planning.

Please Note: Using Mighty Cause — a Donor Directed Fund — saves ECIR Group Inc. from administration of charitable 501(c)3 registration in 39 US states and Washington DC.

This work cannot be done without you.

Thank you for being there.
