Salta passed

Salta, my beloved mare was put to sleep after massive epilepsy attack and subsequent fatal spinal injury at age 25. Thank you for your support, thanks to this group, Salta was able to live a full life more then 5 years after her diagnosis. She was currently taking 2 prascend tablets. A few days before her death, she was full of strength and joy of life. Her loss is still a big shock to me. May be she had several seizures, Several times I found the fences down, but I didn't know why it happened. But the last one was too serious because it took place under a shelter. There is a camera, so I was able to watch the whole event in retrospect. I'm so sorry Daniela. It's hard to fill the whole in one's heart when they leave us. May you find solace in 23 years of memories. Great work on your part to make happen those five great years after diagnosis. She loved you for it.

I'm sorry to hear it was time to let Salta go, Daniela. I can understand why you're still in shock but I hope you find comfort in knowing her last days were good ones.

So sorry for your loss, Daniela. 25 isn't so old anymore... when I lost my first mare at 27 I was devastated so I'm feeling your pain since you probably thought you would have him a bit longer. May she rest in peace with visions of green pastures and you, her best buddy.
