Hi LJ

Thank you for your concern. Post was locked to move from debate as to whether the volunteer (me) correctly identified the product (it was) to actual questions about the product.

Here are all the archived posts about Equithrive for your review.

https://ecir.groups.io/g/main/search?p=created%2C0%2C%2C1%2C2%2C0%2C0&q=equithrive

You have correctly started a new thread. What is your question about the product?

LJ - the only reason the thread got locked is that wrong information by a moderater was  being posted about the product that at least 3 of us are using that does not contain glucoasmine and had marvelous results. Feel free to contact me privately. Apparently that is the only way to learn. So sorry for that. I don't understand why someone presented with wrong information cannot graciously reply that they were indeed looking at the wrong product.

Wow, Deb. I am thrilled beyond belief that Scotty is doing well.  Like all our volunteers, I am here for the horses.

The devil is in the details which seem to be overlooked. One more time, and respectfully, hopefully for the last, please read again what I said.
Just a reminder for new folks or anyone thinking of this product, the EquiThrive Joint Complete has Glucosamine which ECIR Group cautions to not use in EMS/IR horses.
From the website link to EquiThrive Joint Complete: Key connective tissue support ingredients include glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid (HA).

My information is not wrong, is not incorrect. I was not looking at the wrong product. I know you are not using the Complete pellets, which I also stated, but apparently I was not clear enough for you.  I will graciously accept that admonition.

Because we are here, again, let me add for further clarification on this family of products: we have new members coming here weekly who do not understand the history of the marketing of the Equithrive products, eg., that they were heavily marketed as a fix for IR (resveratrol), that glucosamine should not be used for IR horses, that there has been evidence that the original formula works for for arthritis for some horses. It is also true that many have found even the double dose not to work and/or the price unaffordable. Dr Kellon has pointed out that the two ingredients in the Joint powder (HA and Resveratrol) can be replicated with less expense, which some members have done successfully. You are correct, Dr K also indicated the safety of the Equithrive Joint (not complete) here: https://ecir.groups.io/g/main/message/276132

All of these posts have been pointed out multiple times for the benefit of anyone who wants to know more. Here you go for your review. https://ecir.groups.io/g/main/search?p=created%2C0%2C%2C1%2C2%2C0%2C0&q=equithrive

The reason the thread was locked was to avoid rehashing this exact kind of personal exchange with the hope you would go back and see what I actually said. I was not wrong. Let's please move on now to help horses. I really don't want to have to lock this again. We have many, many new people coming in who are in need of emergency help, and we've moved beyond what is useful to members .

My best to Scotty.

I have to strongly agree with this. What Nancy said was absolutely correct and a necessary caution for members looking at products on that web site.

LJ,

If you want to find out if hyaluronic acid will help your horse (there is not enough resveratrol in original Equithrive Joint to have any effect), get a few tubes of Conquer gel. Start with the 50 mg dose in original Equithrive Joint, which would be half of a standard Conquer dose, try that for 3 to 6 days. If no effect, go up.

It has been established that the ingredients in Equithrive Original Joint are safe for horses with insulin issues. Any further discussion should be moved to Horsekeeping.
