Falki Update - So Happy

Connie Proceviat

Hi All,

It has been bitterly cold here the past week and -34 C this morning without the windchill. Falki marched out of his paddock curiously looking what was being offered for breakfast.

Thank you to Dr. Kellon and the work of this group, I think I have finally learned what is required to manage his cold induced laminitis. He hasn't done this well during cold temperatures in years. Sure glad we never gave up.

Thank you for the good news update Connie!  Especially for all the other folks currently struggling with winter laminitis it's good to know that things can come together.

Hi Connie,

I am curious to know if Falki had any laminitis issues prior to him having cold-induced laminitis?
My Icelandic gelding, Baldur, has had high insulin in the past, but no laminitis.

THANKS!
