Thanks for the feedback on Isoxuprine. I should clarify that when I'm monitoring Bug's pedal pulses, and find them to be a concern (which isn't often), I give a low dose of Isoxuprine for several days to help PREVENT a laminitic episode. As a vasodilator, it helps the blood return from the hooves.
So far, it seems to be working. After his initial bout of laminitis in January '99, when he had only 3 degrees rotation in one coffin bone, his feet look remarkable and he's very comfortable.
