New Labs - Elevations - Should I be concerned?

Diana RL

Hi,

How concerned should I be about the following two pre/post Invokana chemistry results?
Triglycerides (12/10/22): 109 mg/dl
 Triglycerides (3/17/23): 152 mg/dl
(Still eating normally)

CPK (12/10/22): 95 IU/L
CPK  (3/17/23): 492 IU/L
(This seems like a really dramatic increase)

Glucose is now within normal ranges.  Insulin is down.  AST/GGTP about the same.

Thank you,

That triglyceride rise is minimal. The CPK rise isn't related. While it's obviously higher, it's nowhere near myopathy level.  A kick, bump or intramuscular injection could have done it.

P.S. Even running around an hour or so before blood pull could increase the CPK.

Thank you so much for the quick response (as always).  This group always stands between me and a full on panic attack ;-).
