I spent so much time getting ready to start Rusty on Prascend, fed APF for three days, then this morning I carefully put the whole 1.0 dose on top of his supplement mix and carefully watched to see that he ate the pill.

And hours later remembered I was supposed to start with 1/2 or even 1/4 dose. I'm criticizing myself plenty, and want guidance what to do next. Should I skip a day and start Monday with partial dose? Or give him a partial dose tomorrow and hope for minimal side effects? My main worry is because his weight is okay now (dentition issues) and I don't want him to lose weight.

They don't always back off feed and if they do it reverses in a few days. I'd stick with the 1 mg until and unless you see issues.
