Ordering Invokana from the UK

Hello,
Just an FYI for those few ordering Invokana from the UK through online pharmacies. There was a cyberattack on the Royal Mail recently and international packages are not being sent from the UK at this time. I found out when I tried to reorder through pricepropharmacy.com. They do not know when the system will be back. They advised I order from Canada, which was almost twice the price. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to order from India because the shipping window is longer. For those ordering Invokana from India, have there been any problems with effectiveness? I am ever appreciative for this supportive community! Hi! I use PricePro. The UK was actually never an option they told me because the script was for a pet/animal. The first time I ordered my three month supply I got it from CA. This time around (pending delivery), I went through India because it is so much cheaper. I did research and Jansen (part of J&J) has several manufacturing plants in India (for years). There is really no way of truly knowing, but I am betting many of the drugs that end up being sold through CA, UK and the US are actually made in India, so I felt comfortable enough trying it. I've been ordering from India all along and haven't had an issue. In the beginning, during the early pandemic days, shipping was nearly 2 months. The last three or four times that I've ordered, shipping was about 2 weeks.

ProPharmacy called me yesterday. Mine is coming from the UK. Is it the same? It was mentioned on this thread that it was only for pets/animals?
I've been waiting 3 weeks for my initial start of Invonkana. He said he may have to find another alternative. I guess I was under the assumption that the pharmacy could get the same meds from the UK or India? Correct. I was told when I ordered that the UK was not an option because the script was for an equine. They told me CA or India only. The first time around I ordered from CA, because I wanted it as quickly as possible. This time, I ordered from India. I placed the order on the 18th of January and got confirmation yesterday it shipped. ProPharmacy called ne yesterday. Mine is coming from the UK. Is it the same? It was mentioned on this thread that it was only for pets/animals? |

I called and talked to Randy.
He said the Invonkana is the same regardless where it comes from. The difference is that if you want 300mg, you can only get it from the UK. The 100 or 150mg (I can't remember now which he said) you can get it from the UK, India or Canada. I'm hoping we did the right thing as they already have my $ and I'm waiting. He said they are starting to move things again. Mine hasn't yet, but should be moving soon. My vet wanted to start with 300mg to begin with then lower if needed. My horse's insulin has just been so high for so long. Am I on the right track? FWIW, UK must have just changed their policy, because I have been receiving Invokana from Pricepro , UK for the last two years and just recently got a new RX that was stuck in customs for a bit. I also received Steglatro from Pricepro UK version and it shipped super fast. Arrived in about 7 days from shipment.

Amy, I'm sorry your first experience has been a bad one. You did nothing different from the rest of us posting on this thread. I have the same problem. I ordered Jan. 3 and first received this explanation yesterday. Ordinarily I receive Invokana 10 days after the prescription is acknowledged. I will resume ordering 4 - 6 weeks in advance and will shop for another pharmacy. I wonder if this supply bottleneck has put pet medications in a lower priority than people prescriptions.

Cass, as long as the meds from the UK are the same, I can wait. The pharmacy has been great. I know the attack was real.
My concern was a comment that said UK isn't the right place to order. This is my 1st order. Randy even said he was sorry that this was my 1st experience with them and the meds. Can't control everything. 🙃 I'll wait my turn, like everyone else. Lol He's still holding his own and we aren't as desperate as we were around Christmas. He was bad. But he's surely resilient, if nothing else. He knows I am trying to help him and he is trying too. Stormy is a trooper! I order through PricePro in Canada. I ordered one box 300mg and was called 30 minutes re: the cyber attack. She said it will take at least 8 weeks to arrive from the UK and 2-3 weeks from Canada. So I went with shipping from Canada and paid more $. She said they don’t offer Invokana from India anymore? When did that stop? She also said they are hoping by the end of February things will be back in order with shipments from the UK.
