I used APF (at the suggestion of this group) at 10ml a day for my 24 year old Hanoverian mare with ppid and IR and she never became depressed or went off her feed as we increased her Prascend dosage.  We also increased in 1/4 tablet increments for at least 3 days before moving up.

My girl is on .5mg pill and has normal ATCH levels. However, we haven't found a good dose for symptom management in the summer yet as she has pretty intense side effects from anything higher than .5mg. This summer we're going to try the liquid compound (cross your fingers for me!)
So, if if is possible, I would love a lower limit option so I could vote in this poll too!

Janice, where are you sourcing your pergolide feeding at 20.75mg rate?  Are you compounding in capsules?  How much can fit in one capsule?

Heidi,

Most of what is in a capsule is carrier. To give you some idea, a pinch of salt is about 65 mg.
