Hi Daisy. In my years of mostly lurking on ECIR, I haven't seen anything that would suggest biologics such as IRAP, PRP, PAAG, ACS/APS are contraindicated for IR or Cushing's. Others will chime in if I'm wrong. For some reason, when I chose PRP to treat stiffness and apparent discomfort in Andante's stifles and hocks last spring, I did not think to do a search here. However, I did do quite a bit of research elsewhere, and the links are below. If no EMS/Cushings implications, this discussion might be better for the ECIR Horsekeeping forum. I'll just say briefly that I was very happy with the results of the PRP injections, and they have lasted (although I know I may need to repeat in future). In fact I am planning a round of PRP for his front fetlocks this week, as radiographs last spring indicated OA and an injury in June seems to have accelerated the existing OA. Will be happy to share more details if the thread persists here or moves to Housekeeping. I concluded that a significant factor in which regenerative therapy to choose lies with your vet's experience and comfort level. There is little to no standardization out there. Good luck with your decision process and I hope you have positive outcomes!
