Rosa 18 year old POA
JUDITH S. SCHNEIDER
We got the lab results back and despite all of our efforts, interventions, etc. Rosa's insulin level remains >200. Unfortunately, Metformin did not work for her.
Due to her dangerously high insulin levels, chronic pain and diminished quality of life, she will be joining her other family members today. Thank You for your support. -- Judy S in NM 2023 |

Oh I’m so very sorry for both of you. Hardest decision we make, it’s so hard to let them go.
I hope she will be knee deep in all the green grass she can eat, and welcomed by all her friends. ❤️ -- Bobbie and Maggie Desi (over the rainbow bridge 7/21) Utah, Nov 2018 ECIR Group Primary Response Horsekeeping Moderator https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/files/Bobbie%20and%20Maggie https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/album?id=271156 https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/files/Bobbie%20and%20Desi https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/album?id=78821 |

Judy,
I hope this helps is some small way. Bless you and your dear Rosa. “We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle; easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we would still live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan.” ― Irving Townsend-- Sandy March 2017, Onalaska, WA, USA Case History: https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/files/Sandy%20and%20Andy . |

It's so hard to let them go, but you have tried all you could. Better that she isn't suffering. So sorry for your loss.

Dear Everyone,
Thank You for your kind thoughts about Rosa. Her last day was a good one for her. Loaded her up on Bute, gave her lots of apples, carrots and other treats she had not had in a very long time. She gobbled them up with delight! Wishing each of you and your beloved companions many days of better health. Happy Trails, Judy -- Judy S in NM 2023 |

I'm sorry to hear you had to let Rosa go, but you are the best and only person who could make that decision, and I'm sure it was the right one. I'm glad she had a good last day.
