I always just got mine at the local Fleet Farm or Tractor Supply.  I got XL's and they came almost up to her knee.

Amazon.  Just make sure you read the package and get socks with a high percentage of wool.  Some say they are "wool" but only have 20% wool.  100% wool can be pricy but worth it if you need the warmth.

I found a 2-pack of 100 percent wool XL men's work socks at Tractor Supply. They slipped over Relevante's feet and just under the knees with no problem.

I agree!  I have a stack of sweaters which need mending.  The pile only grows taller.  If I cut off all the sleeves, I would have much less mending to do!
