X-rays and blood results.
Cathy and Teddy
Hi,
I have just updated Teddys case history form, with ATCH and Insulin results and I have added Teddys x-rays to his photo album. I hope I have done this all correctly. Also his cushing results have come back and he doesn't have cushings. Question. Do I just update my first post with information such as that I have stopped bute and omogaurd and at this stage he not showing any signs of pain. -- Cathy in NSW, 2022 Teddys Folder - Teddys Case History Teddys Album - Teddys Album

Hi Cathy. I reviewed your case history and I don't see the ACTH, Insulin or glucose results in the Case History....did you not receive them from the vet yet ? When you do, you can add them to the CH that you have saved on your computer as a document. IF you try to change the PDF document it won't let you edit ( unless you have a program on your computer which allows the PDF to be updated) . So, hopefully, you kept a copy of the case history in its editable format so you can easily add the labwork. Then you change that to a PDF and upload it to your folder. Then delete the old case h istory pdf from your folder so you only have one current case history. We keep all the information and the different feeds etc just enter stop dates...don't delete them from the case history. Hope this makes sense?

Hi Trisha
I have just uploaded the updated case history. I also added the first page of the results of Teddys test to his photo album, as I have no idea what it really means. -- Cathy in NSW, 2022 Teddys Folder - Teddys Case History Teddys Album - Teddys Album

Hi Cathy,
When you next update your Case History, please put the stop/end dates for the Bute and Omoguard below the lines with the start dates and write "stopped" next to them. You can add notes to the Case History comments about stopping them and that he is no longer in pain. Teddy's insulin was very high, well within the range for acute laminitis. I see that you started soaking his hay after his blood was pulled, so you can expect his insulin to have come down already, which is why he is feeling better. Once you have him on his new diet, you should recheck insulin (and glucose) to make sure it's in a safe range. Not sure what his turnout entailed, but he should not have access to any grass and weeds when he comes off stall rest. I think your next challenge is to get his feet trimmed and correct the rotation in the bony column. His heels need to be lowered, but his toes also need to be shortened quite a bit. -- Kirsten and Shaku (EMS + PPID) and Snickers (EMS) - 2019 Kitimat, BC, Canada ECIR Group Moderator Shaku's Photo Album Snickers' Case History Snickers' Photo Album
